In this picture, the two teeth with pink above them are part of the removable partial. The three all white teeth are part of a fixed bridge. In a traditional partial an unsightly metal clasp is used to secure a partial to the teeth in front. Note the absence of any unsightly metal clasp.
Unseen in this picture is the “precision attachments” which make this type of comprehensive dentistry possible.This type of comprehensive restorative dentistry usually integrates periodontal care, extractions, root canal therapy and especially proper treatment planning including timing and temporization. It may also include dental implants and sedation, although not used in this particular situation.
