Being a dentist in Palm Harbor Florida for 24+ years, I have looked in many mouths, I have done many root canals, seen many emergency patients in pain, and I have extracted many teeth. Some of the teeth extracted are for periodontal reasons, some decay, some due to breakage and some are failed root canals. One reason for a root canal to fail is the tooth can fracture. The tooth seen in this picture was extracted in my Palm Harbor dentist office on April 27, 2012. This was a support tooth for a fixed dental bridge. The root fractured almost in half. A pink line is seen in one of the root canals and a parapost is seen in the other root.
