I have been a dentist in Palm Harbor FL for more than 25 years, since 1988. In all these years I have seen tori of many shapes and sizes, but this is by far the largest maxillary torus I have ever seen. The 88 year old woman who this belongs to is quite proud of it. The concern she voiced to me was that a number of years ago, after being on bisphosphonate therapy there was slivers of bone shedding from her palate. This is known as osteonecrosis, and is a potentially very serious side effect from the use of very common drugs to treat osteoporosis. It has reported, by some, as an uncommon side effect but I have personally seen this way too often.
