Sunshine, citrus trees & paradise – just a few words that come to mind when thinking about living here. As a child, my parents packed the station wagon, loaded my brother, the middle sister and myself into the back seat at 3am and began the yearly winter trip to Florida. On the third day we would see palm trees, we knew we were getting close. Back then there were a lot of coconut trees in the Miami area. That was in the 60’s, I already felt I would someday move to Florida. My brother, youngest sister and my parents moved to Tarpon Springs, FL in 1985, just as I graduated from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and as I was beginning my dental residency at Nassau County Medical Center in Hempstead on Long Island, NY. It is difficult to open a dental practice by hanging out a shingle in the New York City or Long Island area, but I was up for the challenge when the opportunity presented itself in November 1987. I moved to Palm Harbor in March of 1988 and opened my brand new Palm Harbor Dentist office on Saturday, April 23, 1988. Now, more than twenty five years later, I am still a Dentist in Palm Harbor but in my second office, having moved to the 34685 zip code in January 2000.
