Success refers to many things, ships: an Australian prison ship, a class of British Naval Ships; towns in Arkansas, Missouri, New Hampshire, Australia and Canada; a self defined level of social status or the opposite of failure. I like the last one, the opposite of failure, this is easy, either we are successful or failures.
We reflect back upon our lives and gauge either our successes or failures but others define us as either successful or failures. Success can be gauged by how much “stuff” we have accumulated.
I am off the point of being a Dentist in Palm Harbor and this picture from 1999. I think being a successful dentist is restoring our patients to health, comfort, function and esthetics to the best of our abilities and within the comfort zone of the patient.
1999 was a key year for all of us, think back to before we entered a new millennium. For me it was the year I moved my dental office from zip code 34683 to 34685, from one side of Palm Harbor to the other but it was also the year my father, Luciano V. Caputo died. He lived to be 86, I think his life was a success.
