Holy Root Canal!!! This is the first blog I’ve ever written so bloggerholics please be kind. Ever considered if you could have sterility and sincerity at a dental office? What am I talking about? Well, usually when you think of sterile, you envision a cold, white disinfectant smelling room or environment. But do rooms really have to look like that or feel so cold to be sterile?
At my office, Dr. Paul Caputo’s office, located in Palm Harbor, Florida the atmosphere is warm, yet professional, lighthearted, however structured and organized. Our staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The office is clean, modern and extremely conscientious regarding sterility and sterile techniques. We are engaged in our patients’ care and the part of their lives they wish to share with us. We have been known to hold your hand if you’re scared, tell you a joke if you need to be cheered up, or help you fill out your forms if you have trouble seeing.
Let’s face it, how many people really want to go to the dentist? I think the answer would be few to none. But, believe it or not, we’ve actually had patients tell us they love coming to our office. Although Dr. Caputo practices dentistry in the Palm Harbor, Tampa Florida area, we have patients who come from hundreds of miles or even out of state just to have their dentistry done, whether it be a root canal, implant placement, dentures or other various dental procedures. I have worked with Dr. Caputo for over thirteen years. Another employee, Sue, one of his dental assistants has worked for him for over nineteen years. Sue and I pride ourselves in remembering our patients and their important events such as a new baby, grandbaby, pet or even a new hobby. We have watched some of our young dental patients grow up, get married and have children of their own. So, can you have sterility and sincerity at a dental office? I say yes you can!!!! We aren’t just cold, sterile robots, we’re like family.
