Another summer comes to a close, another school year begins. As a Palm Harbor Dentist the significance is minimal, as a father, this has great meaning. There will only be one more “UD Parent’s Night” for me at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa where Kendall is entering 11th grade. Mathew is beginning his second year of college in Boston. I will b leaving my Palm Harbor Dental Office in a few hours to accompany his from Tampa Airport to Logan Airport. He begins Boston University on September 2, 2014.
From the Clearwater area to the Northeast, 11th grade begins and Kendall drives herself to school, my children are growing up. Little pangs of regret – I could have spent more time with them, I could have listened a little more closely – but overall I know I was there with my children – I love being their dad and I know they love me (although it is shown in different ways – they are young adults – they are becoming independent, as it should be.)
I understand the Feast of St Anthony is this weekend in Boston – much like the Feast of San Genaro in NYC.
