One more short essay written by my daughter, Kendall. Once again, nothing about me being a Palm Harbor Dentist or dentistry.
Dramatic Monologues are works where there is one speaker who talks to an individual who is not present in the work, but is normally identifiable. Through the text much about the speaker is exposed. Motives and morals are typically shown through the explanation of the narrators thoughts to the intended audience. The listener and reader are passive in their role. The most effective and successful dramatic monologues typically have well known or famous speakers. An example of a dramatic monologue is, “The love song of J. Alfred Prufrock.” This is one of the most successful dramatic monologues.
