Dental “bridges” replace missing teeth and fall into two categories, they are either fixed or removable. A removable bridge is also known as a partial denture. A removable partial bridge is usually secured in the mouth to teeth but may be anchored with implants. A fixed bridge is cemented to either teeth or implants and is not removable by the wearer. When possible, implants enable many people to return to teeth that are fixed to the jaw.
